Debt Validation HELP!!!

I have a credit card debt.
I sent a cert. letter to Resurgent Capitol Services the master servicer for LVNV Funding LLC and asked for validation of debt.
Ireceived a letter back before the 30days that says "Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding this account. We have taken the necessary actions to ensure you will receive no further communications from Resurgent Capitol Services L.P. If you have any further questions, please contact CSR at #"
Then next page has 4 sentences for "proof of debt" with staement of who has and since when and amount. Aren't they suppose to sent me ALOT more info for proof of debt?? And wht are they saying they will not contact me further???
Do I resend the same letter for DV and wait for them to send me proper DV????

Did Resurgent provide a date when LVNV purchased the debt? Is that date within your states statute of limitations? If the debt it past the SOL, chances are Resurgent is just informing you that they will no longer attempt to collect on this debt.
I have a very similar situation. Capital Management (another arm of Resurgent) sent a dunning letter for a debt that was from 1989. I sent a cease and disist letter and Resurgent sent the same "will receive no further communications from Resurgent" as you got. They also included a "verification" letter which was basically a Microsoft Word document stating LVNV purchased the debt back in 2002 from some other collection agency. Resurgent knows this debt it past the SOL and will no longer attempt to collect.
What they might do is sell/pass the debt on to another company not affiliated with them. As long as the debt it past the SOL all you have to do is send a cease and desist letter because the CA/JDB can do nothing but call/send letters if you don't send a C&D.
