Midland

Hi everyone. I read on here all the time, but never post.
I ran my husbands credit report back in November 2010. There was a collections from MCM. I've been going round and round with them trying to get them to validate this debt. We do not believe this is my husbands debt. I have filled complaints with BBB and the District Attorney's office here in LA and Cali. On Friday I called Midland to see what was going on. The lady told me that in Feb 2010 they sent a letter to our previous address (in Washington) and we had 30 days from then to have it validated. I explained to her that my husband is in the military and we have been living in Louisiana since 2009. She tells me that because the letter was never sent back to them, they consider it delivered. She also tells me that the laws states they do not have to send it CRRR, basically telling me I'm screwed! I'm so mad! I don't know what to do now? ANY help would be much appreciated!

You need to send them a DV letter CMRRR. Thats about all you can
You need to send them a DV letter CMRRR. Thats about all you can do at this point, also state that you would like all further communications to be through mail only as phone calls cost you minutes on your cell phone(even if it doesnt). You must send the DV letter
