Faxes to POE from collection agency

Are third party collectors allowed to send you a fax at your place of employment? I received a fax at my place of employment from Tri-Financial on Saturday, 4/26/09. I was out of the office until Thursday and found it front and center on my desk. I don't know who they are and never gave them permission to fax information to me at my place of employment.
I would think this borders on disclosure to other parties. Any help would be appreciated.

i would send em a cd letter stipulating that communication either telephone or fax is not welcomed at employment and all communication shall be done via usps or telephone at home if you do not object. you can make them stop calling your house if they are doing that..you do have some power in acceptable communication techniques...
