i received a message on my answering machine that i didn't understand about my bank account and something returned i do have a bank account and there were a couple of unauthorized charges on my debit card that i did not make or authorize at all i went to my bank and filled out a form and they were going to investigate and send me a new debit card this has happened with a bank account i use to have i need to know if this is a scam or what and put a stop to it immediately i will seek legal help if needed thank you

You have done the right thing by informing the bank about this issue. It seems you have become a victim of identity theft. You can ask the bank to freeze the account for the time being so that scammers can't make financial transactions on this account.
