Are you sure about those numbers? Area codes and phone numbers don't start with zero because dialing that would reach the operator instead of connecting. Sounds like who ever is calling you is using software to mask their real location, identity, etc.

Then they are screwing with their phone number display. The phone system in the US cannot have a phone number that begins with a 0 or a 1. It is just not permitted.
So whomever is calling you is spoofing their outbound caller id, or your phone company cannot display it properly.

This was just on my local news at how these STRANGE phone numbers are popping up on many peoples caller IDs in Indiana.Seems somehow somewhere there are HACKERS and somehow have gotten names and numbers and trying to collect on old accounts illegally.[/img]

I recall seeing something on the local news media a few weeks back here. When people called back the number, their phone bill was charged hundreds of dollars, I wish I had the prefixes the news put out on the alert, telling people not to return those phone calls because they would be charged hundreds of dollars. The people would call, and guess what, they would be placed on hold forever, racking up per minute charges unknowingly. :twisted:
