hello, I have outstanding debts that I have to sort out. I was receiving so many
collection calls that I changed my home number to an unlisted number. Then lo and behold I started receiving calls on that unlisted number from allied interstate...several recordings left daily. How in the heck? Would you recommend I contact them? I wanna know how they got through...It is a private number now...not listed. I had peace and quiet for all of 2 weeks.

agggghh!

Send them a cease communication letter, if it is your debt tell them to only communicate with you in writing. If it is not your debt tell them not to communicate with you at all. They are bound by the fdcpa to comply under penalty of 1k per call after it is received. Send the letter certified mail, return receipt requested.
