Debt consolidation would not have an impact on the court date, unless the plaintiff accepts the payment arrangement. If you lose, then the plaintiff will have to work with your state's laws to collect. I don't know where you live, but you could expect wage garnishment, bank levy, or liens places on your properties or assets. They probably would not take your vehicle, but they could put a lien on it, so that when you sell it, the money is theirs.
