U S Legal Investigation Dept. scam

206 is a land line number is Washington state...seatlle in fact. DC is 202 area code

I received a message from the exact same 825-354-61 phone number. They guy BARELY spoke English. I asked to speak to his manager, and he said he was the manager there. (SAME GUY WHO CALLED ME AND ANSWERED THE PHONE WHEN I CALLED BACK!) This was about 7 months ago. I reported him to the Attorney General and received a letter stating it was a scam. They have sense changed the name of the law firm they claim to work for, but still continue to call 7-10 time A DAY! On top of harassing me, they got a hold of my two best friends numbers from an application I filled out using them as references and they are bothering them as well. All three of us have told them numerous times that if we are involved in a law suit together, we would know. They are persistent, and really need to be stopped. I am glad I finally found someone else who is getting calls from the same number as I am. I hope you have better luck getting rid of them!

I too have been contacted by someone who spoke barely any english with the same info stating I need to contact them at this number 469-645-2861...and the number that showed on my cell was 825-354-61..which I figured was bogus. But this is the second time I have been called by these people...I talked to the FBI and placed a complaint, I have filed reports with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) The guy who called said his name was Jack or something..but like the others you can't understand him. I was told by the FBI to just hang up and not talk to them. Eventually hopefully they stop calling.But this is a HUGE PAIN IN MY A$$!!!!

I have been receiving calls from 82-354-61 since last month. The man who keeps calling is David Cook. He is Indian. He pronounces my name wrong. He leaves this messege we are taking you to the courthouse and we have your info and you are being sued. I asked if i could have the info from the orginal creditor would not provide. I knew then a scam. These people need to be stopped. 2 weeks ago I filed a report to the FTC against them and put a fraud alert on my credit report with a 3 bureaus. It is scary these people are relentless. I hope they go to jail!! They left me alone for one week and now back at it again. I have stopped all communication with them except that first conversation a month ago. I suggest not to talk to them. It is a scam!! please don't fell victim to these scam arrists!!

I have been receiveing these calls for the last few day from 05-253-8374. The guy called himself Henry Watson. Barely could understand what he said. Told me I was being sued and needed to call him at 469-645-2861. I tried the number just to see and the line just went completely dead wasn't ring or anything. I'm glad I could find people with the same stories, it helps.

I got a call from someone calling themselves Johnny Williams. Pretty much telling me the same as you all. He told me that I was being sued for a loan that I had gotten and didn't pay for from an online company called Payday Cash for $300. He had all my banking information, date of birth, and social security number. I know I didn't get a loan at all, so I knew there was something fishy about it. Also I tried to call the number back asking him why I haven't been sent anything in the mail if I'm being sued. But then a couple of days later the number was disconnected. Any suggestions as to what I should do? I'm afraid they will try to get money out of my account.

I got several calls from these guys too but I was stupid enough to believe them, i made a payment to them over the phone using my credit card because i was scared of a lawsuit. They got money from me, is there anything I can do or attempt to do to get my money back?

I have to go the same phone calls from the U S Legal Investigation Dept 052-535-595 or 1-718-873-9670. I asked for an adress so i can send pament out and they told me they cant give me an adress.

I told the guy to quiet harraising me and to stop calling my work. I would have to say about 5mins later after i got done with the call he calls me back. I said maybe you didnt here me the first time dont call me. A co-worker who i work with told the guy she would but her foot up his --- if he keeps calling.

I hate these guys. I wonder how many people they sucker out of hard earned money with their scamming. Seriously, what makes you think I'm going to fork over my credit card number to you over the phone when you're masking your real phone number and refuse to give any address or send a letter after contacting me? I laugh when you can tell they've got a new guy on the phone that can't even pronounce his so-called name right.

I remember reading that some state attorney general's offices have been trying to go after these guys for years. Kind of hard when they're masking their phone numbers from India. I hope they finally get their location and shut these fools down for good.

They call me from 412-387-1122. These foreign idiots try to get you to pay a payday loan they say you have defaulted on. They are not investigators and are not a legit legal company as they try and portrait. They have called my cell phone as well as my job up to several times per day. I have in return started calling them up to hundred of times per day to waste their time as much as they have waste mine. I do not say anything, just lsten to hem cuss and get very frustrated that Iam tying up their scam line. Whenever I have a free moment in the car or on a smoke break, harass them just as they have me and thousands of others. They change their phone number about once a month but they always end up calling me from the new ones.
There does not seem to be and reprecussion to reporting these calls and they dont stop so I think everyone being harrassed should jump on board and start wasting their time as they have wasted ours. Its actually kind of funny to hear them get so frustrated as they are the scammers.

P.S. I always dial *67 to block my phone number so they can't harass me right back.

just had a number call me, 412-387-1122. said they had to collect on a loan i had defaulted on 4 years ago. i was first talking to an obvious foreign speaking brain foster, then transferred to a manager named eric johnson, and yet i am certain it was the same dumba**. i am completely not racist but i had been getting this same call for months now so i told him i was a racist bastard and needed to speak to an english speaking american. lol, i can't believe people get away with these stupid scams. oh ya, and i am now waiting to hear from the courts on my said default. i am not holding my breath.

I just got a call from a Eric saying he was from the United States Law and Legal Services. He then asked if he can place me on hold while he gets his "manager" to discuss my case. The manager comes on, states his name is Bob, its the same damn guy!!!! "Bob" basically said I took out a payday loan, gave me all my info but said i banked with meta bank? I never even heard of meta bank!!! These people are seriously getting on my nerves!

this stupid guy keeps calling me at work says he is justice department and i owe money i told him to bring it on he calls me at work all the time every time they call it is a different number i have gone to police dept and they say it is a scam and a big one

Hi, I have received the exact same phone calls but the only number we all have in common is the 052-535-595. I have been receiving MULTIPLE back-to-back calls from a 913-294-3232 telling me that "legal action will be downloaded aginst my file?" REALLY? @_@. Please every note that the 913 ph number leaves me a ph message telling me to call a 661 ph number which is in the los angeles area in california
