V&K...claiming they will repo a computer??

not until now,but judging from what i have seen on here by humanoids.nothing suprises me.it is nonsense.

It sounds like a scare tactic to me.

That doesn't sound right at all to me - I mean, what are they going to do, go to everyone's house that has a computer and repo it? Doesn't seem like the cost would be worth it.

I would just tell them to come and get it, I'll have it disassembled for ya! lol

Yeah know..when I had to stop paying my accounts last May I wondered what would happen with my Dell Financial account I had. I had used it to purchase a computer and when I read the terms over when I was deciding how to proceed with my debt the wording indicated they had a security interest in the items I purchased.

I wondered if they would try and get the computer back or what. Strangely, this is the only account (so far) out of 12 that didn't go to a CA after charge off.

So it could be something like that. Where there is wording with the creditor that the computer is collateral just like it was with me. Sort of like they can do it..but how often does it actually happen and how would they go about it.

They called my girlfriend last week, gonna come get all the DELL stuff, yadda,yadda,yadda.

wanted to know where to come get it.

if DELL wants their printer back that never worked right, they have the address.
if they want the computer tower that got hit by a poiwer surge, they can have that also.. its been in the mini storage, I figured the insurance company that paid the claim might want it.

its JUST NOT COST EFFECTIVE to go running all over the country collecting broken crap they sell.

whats even funnier, in the mail today, girlfriend gets a $25.00 discount card from DELL, good on her next purchase before July.

street address and P.O.Box are on there, so DELL does have the address.

V&K have been talking lawsuit for months.. I told them bring it on, we'll talk about printer, and refusal to service new laptop under home warranty, causing situation to escalate into a totally damaged computer DELL replaced last December.

They are not going to do anything in this case, the publicity of open court would be an embarrassment to DELL.

I believe only Dell can repo their products. My sister-n-law had a computer repoed but it wasn't a Dell.

Dell has been very quiet since December.. they know they screwed up by not honoring the home repair warranty, which caused wiring in the laptop screen to short out, and then they had a replacement instead of repair.

they know if they stir the pot, they will come out smelling like crap in open court.
