Debt Validation letter question!

Can I still send a debt validation letter to a CA (or am I supposed to send it to the OC instead?) after the charge off happened over a year ago, or more like 3 years ago? There are 3 on my report from different CA's so can I send them out at the same time? I was just wondering if I've lost my rights to do this or is there no time frame in validating a debt....

If the CA have send you a dunning letter, you need to ask for debt validation within 30 days of receipt of the letter, else it will be considered that you owe the debt.
if you do not receive such letter,send a DV to the last CA reporting on your CR.
