Take the green certified mail receipt card with you to court, along with a copy of the letter. Meanwhile, check the Rules of Civil Procedure for your jurisdiction, to find out how to request validation during discovery.

Also did the initial letter you got have the "respond with dispute in 30 days" part in it? You should also take that initial letter with you to court as well, because either way the CA will be in hot water, either they totally ignored the law that says they have to put the dispute information on it, or they totally disregarded it and sued you after you complied with the law and with the letter they sent.
Whatever you do, make sure you follow Uncles advice and respond to the summons and go to court! It may be that this company can't validate and so are hoping they can get a default judgement in. Don't let them get away with that!
