Ok so I sent a Vod letter to attorney working for the collection agency . My question is If they do send validation (the debt is mine) . What is My next step ?? Do I try to work out a payment plan??? And also how do you receive a summons??? Does a prosses server come and serve you. I dont want it to get to that point. but Just asking just in case .

What CA are you dealing with?

Make sure that the info they send you is PROPER validation. They may make something up or they will send you some paperwork and say that they have proved VERIFICATION not validation. Two different things.

You generally will be served a summons by a court official (deputy or marshal) or a process server.

If you think that they are going to sue you you can also cehck the court some what regularly to make sure that they did not file and falsify the service.
