Wrong Last Name

Both my wife and I recieved a judgment on a case that was a couple years old now. I don't question the SOL on this, rather, that it has the wrong last name on it. Last year, my wife and I finally got our last names changed. I had been trying to get it changed since before we were married.
Anyway, the suit was in our old name and not our new name. We got our name changed in the same city, county, and State the plaintiff. Again, we got a judgment and I'd rather not have to pay all those court fees. I'm wondering if I would be able to settled for way less than what they were granted by the courts.
That's the nutshell. I look forward to hearing from someone...

Yes, you can negotiate with your creditors and settle the debt. However, much will depend on your negotiation skills.
