When I could do the 35% I called and spoke to different person and they would not take the first offer. So I told them I lost trust and now I will communicate in writing, so I sent them my offer in writing what I could do and DV letter. NOw the phone calls have stoped and no response what so ever. It is so quite, I am wondering what are they doing can they sue, should I also send them the ARB even though they have not responded to DV yet?
Any advise.
My balance is 7500 and about 120 days past due on business account.
Thanks

Collection agencies are not suppose to continue with their collection activities till they reply to the DV demand.

I have to say that one of the most effective collection tactics is to call continuously and then just stop. You kind of get used to the constant calls and its somewhat comforting. When they stopped, I panicked. I thought oh no am I being sued, why aren't they calling? It is actually far more nerve racking to not have the calls. LOL
I have that going on with my cap one card right now. They are not calling - it's been charged off and is in the recovery department. Girl there was immoveable on a settlement. I would much prefer for the calls to start again where I have a chance to work out a settlement. I think my account is on it's way to another collection department and just hasn't made it in there yet - but I'll let you know if it's that or if I'm being sued.
