Settlement Agreement Ignored.

Once upon a time I was contacted by a arbitration company who did a great job negotiating my debts. I had debt, it was difficult to make my payments, so they said stop making them, we will save your money and take their calls after a few years they will be settled and eventually your credit score will go back up. I was willing to wait. I had a car, a house, I didn't need a line of credit. The last payment for my three accounts was sent in November of 2009. One year later, I tried to refinance my house and find out that Discover says I still owe them $3350, which just so happens to be the difference between my settlement and the original high balance with interest and late fees.
I contacted the company that represented me and they acted by calling Zwicker, but it has now been over 3 months and they are not getting anywhere with them. My company has requested the proof of payment on my account from Zwicker BUT it has not been supplied.
Thing is: I have copies of the agreement of settlement from Zwicker to accept 3 payments, I have a copy of the bank statement saying 3 payments were sent and the day they were send. Zwicker claims that the last payment was received late and therefore the agreement was broken and I still owe money and will have to settle the remaining amount seperately.
The money was there, I had no reason to send the money late, I have bank statements saying it was sent. It seems impossible to convince them otherwise. Other than highering an attorney can any higher authority tell them they have to honor their agreement? I don't want to pay THEM more money, unfortunately I am a little stubborn and expect people to do the right thing especial when I do. So, I would rather pay an attorney after I exhaust any free tactics I can try.
Note: I am not being sued, they aren't even contacting me, they just want it to stay on my credit report I guess. Advice?

If they won't budge you may have to take them to court.....if you have statements that show it was paid on time, then they do not have a leg to stand on. Send them an intent to sue letter and include a copy of the suit you will file should they not honor their agreement. Give them like 10 days before you will file suit.
