Welcome to the forums. What type of company is? In any situation that has to do with debt, visiting a work place is unethical. No one, but yourself should know about your financial situation.

You've simply stated your right as a consumer to be left alone alone at work. Ceasing contact at work is what you requested, and they failed to do. You might want to speak with an attorney. Most all of them will be willing to give you free legal advice over the phone.

As far as the visitation goes, could you shed some more light; was this done in an open place, was a collector or an attorney, etc.

Have you sent a cease and desist letter to the company mentioning the fact that you refuse to be contacted at your place of work or by phone? State the point that you wish to be contacted only through mail.

After receiving your cease and desist letter, the CA is required to stop contacting you further except to notify you about any legal actions. If they still contact, they will be breaking the fdcpa laws and you are in charge of filing legal actions against them.

Send your cease and desist letter if you have not done so far.
