I keep getting calls from MRS... but I don't any dealings with Capital One aside from the fact that for some reason, CO has been sending me Credit Card Applications weekly. When I pick up, there's about 3 seconds of silence then it hangs up.
When I call, no Operator picks up. It rings forever.
When I select 1- it hangs up.
When I select 2-Sometimes it hangs up, sometimes I get someone.
IF I can even understand the person over the static, they ask for my phone number (one even asked for my SS#!!)
Sometimes it hangs up.
Sometimes they try to transfer me and it hangs up.
One time I got ahold of someone, and my number isn't in their system.
This feels like a "Choose your own Adventure" book, without an actual ending. If I get another, I'm likely going to file a C&D.

Never ever reveal your SS number to them over phone. Neither should you reveal any personal information to them. If they continue to disturb you like this, then send a Cease and Desist Letter to them.

If you're sure that you do not owe anything to Capital One then you need not worry about this issue. You don't need to share any personal information with them. MRS Associates is a collection agency that works with Capital One. I've come across the following link that holds a similar situation:
