I have a loan with PD6/Express Cash. I originally took out $300 loan. I've paid them $360. According to the information that I've found here - and on other sites, I've overpaid them. CT Law says that I am only liable for $351 ($17 per $100 borrowed) correct?

This jerk, named Brad Ragan, is totally harassing me at work. He's spoken to my boss, I'm in fear of losing my job. Is this legal? what else can I do?

I've contacted the CT Department of Banking, as well as the Attorney General.

Mr. Ragan (Jerk Du-jour) says that I need to make a payment of $200 via money gram on the 30th, or I'm going to jail...

Is this for real?

Sswtt - Is there any way that you can stop them from even getting to your boss again? They are just doing it to try to embarass you into paying up. I know where I work the receptionist told anyone that called that i didn't work there anymore.

Also, you may want to try talking to your boss. Tell him this company is harrassing you. You don't have to mention payday loans if you don't want to, but if he knows about the calls he may just hang up if they try again. Some of these pdl's can say some really crazy things like telling your boss you are about to be arressted. If your boss knows it's bs before, it may save some akward explainations later . . . .

That is quite possible. I'm looking for letters that I can send to have him stop calling my job...

Luckily - If i'm at my desk, I can see who's calling my bosses line, and answer it if necessary. I can see who's calling my line, the main #, and the bosses line...so that helps me to intercept his calls.

I haven't sent my letter to Mr. Ragan yet. I'm waiting until friday afternoon.... :-)

I sent mr. ragan an email today - asking him what state are they licensed in...

This dude REALLY scares me. sigh.....we'll see what he says to me. He never responds via email - he always responds on the phone...I hate talking to him. He intimidates me....

Maybe I should chug some liquor before he calls...you know, liquid confidence................

I'm going to get this guy one way or another...I promise.

I've checked to see if they (PD6/Loan Shop/Express Cash/LTS) were licensed in either MO, or NV (the two states that I've seen in his correspondence). They aren't licensed in either of those states. Which is a good thing, considering that those two states have some pretty lax PDL / STL laws.... MO's statute says that you can't pay more than 75% of the original loan amount in interest....so in my case, i would be obligated to pay $225 in interest on a $300 effin loan....

Luckily I haven't found a state yet where they were licensed.

I don't know why this guy bothers me sooo much. I'm actually afraid to leave my desk in the event that he calls...b/c if he gets my VMAIL- thats when he calls everyone in the company...

HE'S SUCH A D-Bag...

Alright Guys...

Need some advice - is Westbury the same as these guys?

I've just filed fraud charges against this company for debiting my account $400 (its an account that is semi closed...just have to wait for my IRS deposit to go through). Luckily the bank is helpful and isn't going to charge anything for this.

I'm going to send another email to Mr. Ragan.

He's through, they're through. I'm LIVID.

This is actuallly going to be semi fun.

So can someone confirm that Westbury is the same as PD6, i think i saw it somewhere!

I have been through the Mr. Ragan issue myself. He illegally harrassed me, said I was going to jail and even called me at 6 am in the morning. He stated he had been to jail for the same thing and had learned his ways. Anyway to make a long story short, On May 24th I filed a report with the FTC & the Deleware BBB (the company does have three addresses (delaware, Kansas City & Henderson Nv.). Monday (June 2nd) I received a voicemail from Rachel Kimball stating that they received the BBB report & would like to work out a settlement) She also sent me an email from her stating the same. Please note her email was from ltsmanagement.com (not, do the math, they are the head company) I spoke with Rachel today. She was very apologetic. She said that they had fired Mr. Ragan after they read the complaint and the statements he made to me. She said he had been written up previously and given warnings for similar issues, but that this went way over the line. Again, she said sorry and stated she was sending me a written letter, signed by her stating that my two loans are considered paid in full!!!! When I receive it, I am to sign, keep a copy for myself then return it. I honestly believe she was being straight forward and honest. My complaint with the BBB originally stated that his actions were illegal & I would file a suit against them, which would result in a $1000 fine. I will keep you all posted when (if)the letter comes that wipes the debt clean.

Lori
