Explain your situation and set up a payment plan with them. If you can take active steps quickly, you will be able to improve your credit file faster.

Hi Danny, to answer that question is yes and no. Are these storefronts or internet pdls? And majority of states won't allow prosecution for defaulting on storefront pdls, TX is one that will allow prosecution for passing bad checks. I can only think of 2 states that allow this. However, if it is an internet pdl, I highly doubt you will be prosecuted as majority aren't licensed to be in business in majority of states, you will need to file complaints with your AGs office against them. With that being said, closing your bank account is probably the only way to gain control back. What companies are you dealing with?
