Hi I'm new to these forums, but I've decided that It's time i start controlling my debt, because its starting to get out of hand.. I'm younger then prolly most on here.. but in the past year and half, I've moved on 3 seperate occasions (bad idea.. lived off credit) and I also had a daughter born in december of 04. I'm just looking some advice on what to do, I have a couple credit cards (ones under control, and then i have a loan that im about to have under control) but due to all my money going to those, i haven't been able to make payments on my other two cards, I just need to stop all these phone calls, and the stress associated with this debt, roughly anywhere between 4500-5500$ worth.. (not 100% sure cuz on the balances the minimum payment is alot more then the outstanding balance of the cards)

thanks a bunch if you guys can give me some advice :)

I think consolidation is the best avenue. It will reduce interest on your cards, waive late fees, over the limit charges and offer you an easy monthly pay out.

Members of this site receive free counseling. The counselor will explain the consolidation program and also reply to all of your queries. Discuss all your obligations clearly with the consultant. BTW, are you employed; I mean what is your source of income?

Hi l3wz0r,

Welcome to the forum! It sounds like you are ready to pull things together and manage your debt. I would definitely recommend consolidation, as Stella said. We are happy to have you here, and whatever questions come up along the way, feel free to ask here!

Go with consolidation. It will ensure regular payments towards your debts. The monthly installments will be determined on the basis of your source of income and your financial obligations. So do not worry for that, you would be able to afford it.

Once the consolidation program is over, your accounts will be reported as paid or paid in full. It will help you improve your score a lot. Keep us posted.

Thanks guys alot, I'm loving the feedback, and it's taking my negative outlook on things and life in general and given me a complete 180, Just curious on when this free consultation normally calls, cause i signed up earlier today, but then i had to go to work, so i wasn't near the phone at all today.
