Can a credit card company wipe out interest charge for not paying full bill once?

If I have been quite regular on making my credit card payments full every month for say about 5 years, will the credit card company consider if I'm not able to make the full payment once a month and request for no interest charges on the amount. I don't want any blemish on my credit report and reduction in credit score.

There's no harm in explaining your situation and requesting the credit card company to extend the payment due date if possible. But try to avoid such situations in the future.

It won't be a big problem if you can't make full payment once a month. You're making the minimum payment. Right? So there is no need to worry about late payments or fines. Just negotiate with the credit card company regarding the interest rate. Can you pay the full balance next month?
