I am working with a settlement company. They have settled 2 accounts. However, in the case of a third account, they are asking me to pay more. Why is that so? Should I make additional payments to them?

Was it not mentioned in the contract you signed? First check it out. Do not make the payment in a hurry.
If required, you can notify the BBB. They can help to resolve complaints. If it meets the BBB guidelines, they will start acting on it within 5 days.
But first, talk to the settlement company and ask them to give that to you in writing so that you have a proof.

Every creditor is different. Maybe, the third creditor is asking for money money. Some creditors agree to settle at 50%. Some creditors demand more money and agree to settle the debt at 40%. So, it varies. Some creditors may agree to settle debt at only 70%. So, it depends. Ask the settlement company why they are demanding for more money.
