My friend Lisa has quite a lot of debts. She's worried that her creditors/lenders can get a judgment to garnish her wages. Is there any limit of garnishing wages? What can she do to stop garnishing her wages?

Creditors have to file a lawsuit to get a judgment. The best way to stop wage garnishment is to pay off her debts as soon as possible. Ask her to check the state wage garnishment laws. As per the federal law, 25% of her disposable income can be garnished.

It's true, 25% of the disposable income can be garnished from her. But if she believes that the garnishment was unfair, she can file an objection to the court. She need to file a "Claim for Exemption" to the court and can protect a portion of her income from being garnished.
Every state have their own parameters on wage garnishment, so in her case the garnishment must be applicable according to her state law.
