Who are eligible to view my credit file?

Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, a credit bureau can serve your credit information to only those with legitimate reason. Your credit file can be viewed by the following:
[list=1]

  • Your file will be viewed by someone before granting credit, reviewing your account, or for collection purpose.

  • Your file will be reviewed by your employer.

  • Insurance companies have the permission to go through your credit file.

  • Your file will be reviewed to see if you are eligible for a license or any other government related benefits.

  • Landlord has the right to review your file before rent.

  • If a court order is in your name.

  • An IRS subpoena

  • A person to whom written permission has been given to do so.
