Hi

Some important things that you can expect from the financial counselors:

  • If accurate information is shown in your credit file, it can be removed only by the credit bureaus after the FCRA reporting time. No private agency has legal rights to erase negative remarks before the reporting time as guide lined in the federal laws.

  • If you have gone through poor credit history in the past, the counselor will suggest you positive ways on how your file can be improved. He will also do the needful negotiations with your creditors and collection agencies so that you get an affordable amount to pay. But, time and your payment history will only ensure good credit ratings.

  • Your accounts are updated by the collection agencies or the creditors. The counselors only do the negotiations. They do not report to the credit bureaus. The credit bureau will verify the accounts with your information providers and will send you a copy of credit report on request.
