TRS & SST the same company 2 hits on my report HELP!

Here is my problem, I had the same credit card that I did pay off last year through TRS a collection company. Now SST (their sister company, they transfer back and forth over the phone all the time) is reporting a $24 charge off acct. on my credit report. I called both companies and they sent me zero balance letters but I can't seem to get SST removed from my report. SST keeps telling me there is only one person who works there that can help me but they just transfer me into her voicemail and she never calls back. HELP!!! this is killing my score and holding me up getting a mortgage....

They will verify your information directly with the company and if your dispute is found correct, the update will be done in your credit report. As per the FCRA laws, incorrect items should not be reported in the credit file. If you are confirmed about the mistake done by the collection company, send copies that can prove your dispute to be true. Also, send a copy to the collection company giving the legal importance to correct the item with the bureaus. Do everything in writing for your records. Send your letters through certified mail with return receipt requested so that you are able to track the dates of your actions
