I just heard on our local news and checked their web site for this info. The FTC apparently has issued a temporary restraining order claiming they broke up a national credit scam using deceptive and unfair pracices in violation of Section 5 of the FTC Act. They were promising to wipe out at least half of consumers debt when they used their services for debt comsolidation. They included: Homeland Financial Solutions, National Support Services,Prosper Financial Solutions. Also it stated that on Aug.9,an ex-parte restraining order was issued for: United Debt Recovery LLC,Freedom First Financial LLC. They claimed that these agencies either never contacted creditors on behalf of their clients,or gave their clients erroneous info, and caused many to be issued judgements and liens and garnishments. Thought this was kinda interesting...Karen

Good for everyone when such companies are busted out. Unfortunately people lose their hard earned money in the hopes that these people are doing them big help. There are still many more doing such shady things until they are revealed by the legal authorities.

Karen, thanks for bringing out the companies in front of everyone. Well done!
