I am in jail what will happen to my credit card debt?

cattut - I would say the answer is no. Most credit card companies will not care, unfortunately, if you are in jail. They just want you to make your payments. Can someone make payments for you while you are in jail, or is it possible this debt can be paid off so you don't have to worry about it?

Also, as aaron mentioned above - call the credit card company right away and see what they say.

Welcome to the Forums! Sorry about your problems. Your debt will still be there until it is paid off. My son moved from NC and it's been 6 years, they are still after debts-that have been taken care of, or ,out of the SOL. Like others have said, call them BEFORE they contact you. They may be able to stop interest, and let someone make payments for you. Good Luck..Karen
