Frozen out by Eqifax

I had the same problem, irish - I had requested a copy of my report last year, and it hasn't been a year since that request, so I don't know if that's the problem or not. I received the same message, that my report could not be issued online due to it being frozen. Anyone have any ideas?

Phew!! Sue - I was beginning to think that one of these idiot pdls had something to do with it, although why anyone would want to freeze my credit report is beyond me - my credit SUCKS!! Always has.

I had the same problem, the part where you go in and answer questions to verify your identity, well, I answered the questions correctly, but apparently they had the wrong info and it froze me out and said I had to contact them.

Yup - what they both said. If you can't verify some info on the report, they will send you an access code via postal mail.

I give them credit. Nice to see they are protecting my report from prying eyes.

Exact same thing happened to me. I answered the questions correctly and it said I was wrong. I wonder where they get their information? I was employed by the same company for 30 years and when it asked where I worked I put where I worked and it said I was wrong. Cripes, if they can't get the simple information like that correct, how can we honestly ever think our credit reports will be correct?!?

same prob--Thats why it is EXTREMELY important that you pull your credit reports on a very regular basis and go through them with a fine tooth comb. I am on a monitoring program and I can update my reports every day if I want to...I usually do it once a month.
