Bad Credit

Welcome to the Community :D First off, do you still owe money to creditors, or is your credit report full of charge offs? If you still owe, you can always make payment arrangements with your creditors. It is better to have a paid charge off,than un paid. Make sure these are not out of the SOL(on your credit reports), if they are you can dispute them. It doesn't mean you still don't owe the money, but that it is out of the SOL. As a person who has dealt with credit woes for the majority of her adult life, I might be able to help you. When you say that you're credit report is bad, have you had a chance to check your credit score? What exactly is on your credit report? Is it because you failed to pay bills or paid them late? Are you sure you have an accurate credit report from all three credit agencies?

If you can provide a little more information, we can advise you better.
