I just disputed an account that was opened in my name by HSB totaling $16,000 and it was deleted.
All you have to do is go to Experian's website and there is an option to request an investigation/dispute. Follow the prompts and they are required to get back to you within 30 days. Even if the debt is valid, they will be able to provide you with more information as to the who the creditor is. It's a great idea to know what's on your other two reports as well...seeing as many times they are no the same.

Pull your credit copy from the other two bureaus. If it's not reported there, you will be more confirmed about the dispute. Experian will have to remove the item from your file. Do your communication in writing through certified mail and return receipt requested. You need to have a proof in writing with the dates specified.
