I have been trying for over 1 month to get answer from midland credit management and portfolio recovery associates
about something on my credit report. I have called and all they did was send a letter of dispute.
I have been the victim of ID Theft. I have been on hold with their Fraud department for over 5 hours total time
that I have called. I have left my number with several people and have never received a return call.
I have sent registered letters with a time frame to reply and no response. What can I do next?

Welcome to the Community :D I removed your email addy for your safety! You can google both of them and see what others have done about them, neither are great fir working with. Have you reported your id theft? Send both of them debt validation letters, certified, return receipt. Notify the credit reporting agencies, also of the id theft. Good Luck-keep us posted..Karen

Is the fraud alert on your account active with the bureaus? If you haven't, file a police complaint with the local sheriff and show the affidavit to the bureaus. Highlight the item that you figure out is disputed. They will verify it with the companies and remove. You should also start contacting the creditors with all your proof and get the debt cancelled.
