I'm Back - Been about a year!
Date: Tue, 11/11/2008 - 07:47
Well guys, I'm back! I know some of you well, most of you not so much. But for the last year, I've been taken on an up-and down rollercoaster ride of credit, rates, money, jobs, etc.
Little about me: Grew up in South Texas knowing NOTHING about credit, graduated, I went to UT-Austin (HOOK EM), did not finish because I lost some scholarships, started working, met my wife, moved to the Dallas area, got into Car Sales, have managed a car dealership and am just NOW working for one of the best companies around here selling GM products. In a course of about 2 years I went from making $8.50 per hour to a max of $13k in ONE month selling cars. It's been, like I said earlier, an up and down ride.
What have I learned? I learned that no matter HOW MUCH MONEY you make, CREDIT is the one most important thing in your life. I pulled and still pull credit for a living, and I have had some people with $250,000 per year salaried jobs with 418 FICO scores and were denied credit and had to put 50% down. I've had some people make $1850 per month and a 765 FICo and get into a brand new Silverado with 0 money down. CREDIT IS KING IN AMERICA, and no matter what you have or don't, CREDIT MAKES YOUR LIFE EASIER OR HARDER.
I, for one, have a FICO middle score of 531, and am currently looking to repair my credit as well as start some new good tradelines.
I am open to any advice anyone can give me to repair my credit, as well as open to giving any advice anyone might need.
Also, I am wanting to send letters to all my creditors. I am wanting to send them a verification of address, name, and ss# first. Does anyone have that letter?
Then I want to dispute all of the items on my report. I need that letter too.
And third, when they DO respond, I need the rebuttle letter as well. If anyone has links to these, please let me know where I can find them or send the file my way.
Thanks!
