I have my credit report from Experian and on some of my accounts there is note that says "this account is scheduled to continue on record until Jan 2013". This is listed as
"status details" but not all of my accounts have this notation. How can I figure out when the account will be past the 7 year mark? For example:
Americredit
Date Opened: 05/2001
Reported Since: 005/2001
Status: Paid/Closed
Date of Status: 11/2004
Last Reported: 11/2004
What are the chances that I can get a CA removed when I paid the original creditor? The account is from 2008.
I have accounts that are from the original creditor and the CA on the same account, can one of these be removed since they are the same debt?

Hi,

The negatives fall off after seven years from the date when it was first entered as negative on the credit report. I know that in case of charge-off if you pay the original creditor the charge-off gets removed. However, I am not sure about the collections. I think the collections will be there on your credit report. Perhaps, if you request it may get reported as "Paid".

Thanks
