Accounts have been assigned to the CA inspite of making payments

I was forced to stop making payments on the credit card bills due to lack of job. I didn't make payments for nearly 6 months. However, after I got a job, I did start making payments to the credit card company. I have made payments for at least 9 months. The credit card company also has accepted the payments, but they have never sent me any statements. What should I do? In addition to that, the credit card company has sent my account to a collection agency. What the hell. I'm literally pissed off. Please guide me.

Your accounts were more than likely charged off and assigned to collection within 6 months. You still owe the debt, that is why the credit card companies accepted the payments, more than likely forwarding then to the CA. You now need to pay the collection agency. No sense getting pissed...this is what happens when you get behind and the account gets charged off.
