Do not know what collection item is on my credit report

I have an item from Afni Collections on my credit report for approximately $1200. It says it is "utilities." I have no utilities that I am behind on. I do not know what this is. How do I find out??

There should be a section on your credit report (usually the last page) that shows the contact information for all creditors. AFNI should be on there.
Your best bet is to contact them and find out what this is about. It could be an old phone bill or such, which would be why they're calling it "Utilities".
