AMEX and credit report?

They show no payment history, CO on the report and in the notes it says repossessionre? I thought this for only cars? NCO claims to have the account. They say they are working on behalf of AMEX and AMEX claims they have nothing to do with the account? Does this mean it is charged off and NCO bought the account? What do I need placed in the settlement letter and who do I settle with? Thanks

What is the DOFD on the account? Is there a "Sold/Transferred to another lender" notation on the tradeline? AMEX very rarely sells off their bad debts but NCO is also a JDB as well as a CA.
