Also, how will I know a lender will check score from which company? I have seen that credit scores differ from one to another. Also, one lender checks credit scores from one bureau while another lender from another bureau. Why this is so? How will I know which lender will check scor from which bureau?

Yes, it's true that credit scores differ from one bureau to another. It differs because not all financial institutions report to all the 3 major consumer reporting agencies namely Experian, Equifax and TransUnion. So, it's better you check scores from at least these 3 major credit bureaus, and if required, repair your scores before you apply for a loan. If you do so, it won't matter to you, your lender(s) is pulling records from which bureau.
