A collection agency company claiming to own my cc account is suing me but I can't find them anywhere on my CR. No even in the inquiries section. Why? Is this normal?

What information do you have?

Who is the company and who is their attorney?

What is the debt for?

When was the last time you made a payment on it? ( if it is in fact yours)

What state do you live in?

These are all important questions. Did you get a summons? If so then you need to answer that usually within 20 days. Neither confirm nor deny the debt due to lack of documentation. Most likely the debt is really old and it can't be reported on your credit report, they do not have any of your personal information or maby they don't report, which I highly doubt this would be the reason.

Please tell us as much as you can.....also did you call the court to confirm the docket number to make sure the summons is real?

I am in Colorado. Co - 6 years

Credit Card Debt.

The company suing me is called Western Aquisitions LLC. I've never heard of them and can't even find any information about them other than they are licensed to collect debts in Colorado. They say they are now owner/assignee of the account.

The Attorney's name isJames Booth.

The last pmt on the account "they say" was July 04 and that the account was opened in 2001.

The return date on the summons is this Monday. I wrote them asked them for validation and of course they didn't send me anything I asked for, instead they sent me a copy of some cc agreement with a copyright of 2003. They also sent me a copy of what is supposed to be my last statement with the OC. This so called statement was very generic with no signatures on it, just has a date and amount owed to OC and that it was prepared by some company called Worldwide Asset Purchasing ll, LLC.

Funny thing is, Worldwide Asset Purchasing ll is listed in the inquiries section of my credit report dated 5/11/07.

I know something fishy is going on, I just don't know what or how.

I would think that if a CA company purchased debt and are suing you for it, then they would be listed somewhere on your credit report. Wouldn't they? I cant find this CA with this debt on my reports.
