Cach, LLC and Law Offices of Rubenstein and Cogan

Okay. I had a wells fargo card that went into collections, they sent it over to cach, llc and from there, they sent it over to the offices of R&C
My question is this, I have gotten the law offices to settle, but this was their response. What should I do?
The amount I owe is $621, and I offered a $350 settlement. Below is their statement;
[COLOR=#1f497d]The amount that you offer to settle is acceptable, and we can do the settlement in 2 payments. Before I set the arrangement however, I need to make you aware that we do not report to credit bureaus. Once the file is closed, we will send you a letter indicating the account has been settled. We close the file and return it to our client and our client updates the credit bureau. Since we do not do the reporting the credit bureaus, there is nothing I can put in writing stating this will be done.[/COLOR]

What do you mean what do you do? as long as you have verified placement with this collector, pay them the 350 over 2 installments as they suggested
I asked that because they said they don't report to the CB's W

Cach is reporting, not Rubeinstein. Paying a collection account does nothing for your credit. However, paying them might be better than being sued.

As for paying it, it wil not help your score at all but when you're getting a mortgage or something the underwriter will be digging and will see you've paid the collector
