I have received a fantastic settlement offer from a collection agency based in Hollister. The problem is the account is not there on my credit report. I’m totally confused about the SOL period. How can I know about the SOL period on a debt, which is not there on my credit report?

I am assuming Hollister California. The SOL is 4 years from the date of first deliquency. If it is not appearing on your credit report, it is probably more than 7 years. Send the CA a cease and desist letter telling them the SOL has expired and to get lost.
