It has been 10 years. Still, there is a credit card account on my credit report. Why is that so?

Dispute the error with the 3 major credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion).

Is it a closed credit card account or an open credit card account?

If you are still using that credit card, it will show on your credit report. It is good for you if it's one of your oldest accounts; it'll help you improve your credit score.

Is it closed or an open account? I believe you are talking about a closed one. In that case dispute the error with the 3 major credit bureaus.
