I have a strong doubt that my boyfriend is misusing my credit card. Usually, he pays the credit card bills. So, I don’t bother much. If we break up, can I be in trouble?

Hello Samanthas!

After your sudden breakup with your boyfriend, you must contact your credit card company’s Fraud department and tell them everything in detail.

They will find a solution for you.

Otherwise, you may call in 800-DEBT-913 to get more information.

It is better you take your credit card back. It is your credit card, so it should be with you. And, why don't you pay your credit card bills? At least check out the account statements and check out whether or not you have any outstanding balance on the card.

Hi Samanthas! I agree with Mabelle Page. I would suggest you check whether or not there is any outstanding balance amount. If yes, you will be held responsible for it unless your boyfriend is the cosigner of the credit card.

You can be in a big trouble if your boy friend stops paying credit card bills. Please keep your heart and finance separate. Be practical.
If you guys break up and the guy stops paying credit card bills, then the credit card company will come after you for payments. And, if you can't make payments, then you can get sued. Credit card companies won't run behind your boy friend. It's your card. So, it's your responsibility.
