Ch. 7 was charged off in 6/2003

Hello all!
This is the best debt forum on the net! You people helped me get out of the payday loan mess and now I would like everyone's 2 cents on something. My ch. 7 was discharged in June of 2003 and I was thinking it would only be on my credit report for 7 years. Seven years is what I thought it was. I was getting all excited thinking that next year in 6/2010 that I would have my ch. 7 completely removed. I just went today an pulled all 3 of my credit reports and it says that my chapter 7 is not due to be removed until JUNE 2013! I know that some of the laws regarding ch. 7's were going to change but I had no clue they would be retroactive back. Can anyone tell me if this is correct to stay until 2013 or am I correct in remembering it was only for 7 years? Please help. I am in Texas. Many thanks.

Chapter 13 is 7 years - Chapter 7 is 10 years...always has been.
