I have a few cc I settled last year. Both have 90 late pays on them. I want to know if there is anything I can do to put them in better standing. The cards are chase and discover. Both were settled for 90 percent of what was owed.

Anna is right. You may request your creditors/collection agencies to update your account status as ???Paid-as-settled??? after repaying the debt. You may also make a written request to them to remove the negative item from your credit report purely out of goodwill. But, it depends on their discretion whether or not to accept your request.

I would not make any request for the creditor to report the account as paid and settled for less than the full amount. That is counter-productive.
When a debt is paid, either for the full amount, or for less than the full amount through a settlement, the account must be updated to the status of paid. Current status has no provision for reporting the amount of the payment, or whether it was for the full, asserted debt. Paid means they consider payment to have satisfied the debt, and also requires them to update the current balance to $0. That is required reporting.
When an account is satified by paying less than the full amount of the debt incurred, the creditor can, at their option, include that fact in your CR by reporting under a separate CR field called "Special Comments." One of those comments is "paid for less than the full amount of the debt." It is NEVER beneficial to have that special comment in your credit report. While payment in full or settlement for less than the full amount have no impact on your FICO scoring, inclusion of that special comment in your credit file will be viewed negatively by those doing a manual review of your CR. I would never ask for that code to be reported if it has yet to be reported.
