Do I need to check my credit report every month?

You need to check your credit report at least once a year. However, you should your credit reports before taking out a loan, and if you feel you've become a victim of identity theft.
While checking your credit reports, make sure you pull out reports from at least 3 major credit bureaus - Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion.

No, you can check your credit report once a year. But if you see that your credit score suddenly drops, then you should check your credit report to see whether or not there is any dispute.

Once a year would be good. But you must also check your score every time before taking out a loan or credit card. Make sure you pull out reports from at least 3 major credit bureaus - Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion.

It's best to check your credit report once at the end of every quarter. Technically, this means that you have to check your credit report at least 4 times in a year. You can get a free copy of your credit report from the annualcreditreport.com.
