Will an account get removed from my credit report if I close it? Can I do something to remove it from my reports? I have some negative items listed against it. But, it is charged off

A closed account with negative items will be removed from your credit report seven years from the original delinquency date. You can offer to pay creditor for removing the charge-off.

You can't remove a charged-off account from your credit report 7 years. Try to settle this debt. The account won't be removed from your credit report. But at least, the account status will be updated. Okay.
