How do closed accounts affect my credit score? When do them come off my credit report?

Closed accounts in good standing come off your credit report after 10 years. They can hurt your credit score since the entire payment history is removed from your credit report.

It will stay for 10 years. Don't close the account all of a sudden. The credit history will be removed, which can affect your score adversely.

Closing old accounts will be harmful for your credit score, you know! If possible, try to keep them active and close newer ones.
