Can Someone Explain My Credit Report (Experian) Date?
Date: Thu, 01/21/2010 - 20:10
I havn't used credit of any kind since 2005, but when I pulled my experian some of these delinquint accounts are showing "Date Opened: ....2006, or even 2007" I wasn't even in the country for 2007!!
Now I know that these accounts have been sent off to collection agencies, but is that considered inaccurate info or can they keep refreshing and re-reporting these dates so that it stays on my credit report forever?
Also, experian has my birth year all wrong, is that a big deal I should make?
Than you!

I have a monthly plan with freecreditreport.com so as of right now I only get experian reports that I can freely pull.
What about the debts where the "date opened" keeps being more current? All my debts were delinquint no later than 2005, and yet I keep getting "date opened" as 2006 even 2007. That's what's concerning me the most right now.
