2. cc collection account paid after charge off, paid as agreed?, reported until 11/09

6. auto finance co, charge off reproted until 1/2012
7. cc jdb, UNPAID, reported until 1/2010
8. medical paid, reported until 2014
9. medical paid, reported until 2014
10. medical paid, reported 2014
we also have a home morgage that was late 30 days 2x in the last two years and a three car loan paid as agreed and seven other closed paid as agreed installment accounts.........
Ok most of these accounts have been paid..Most will drop off credit report in following years. We do not have any current open charge cards and do not want any! We've been working on credit numbers for awhile now and want to buy a new home within the year or so..All of these items have been disputed and verified 2/2009..OUr newest opened collection, is about a year old and has been paid. Our next newest collection is 4 years old and unpaid. This one item reported to my state attorney general for inaccurate info and awaiting for a response..Here's my questions:
Should I pay these collection accounts that have been through several jdb and are close or out of sol? Should we settle on them? What can I do to improve this score? I appologize for the length of this post! I've done everything I can think of here and really do not want any other charge cards..I would greatly appreciate any help..

The first thing I would do with all collections accounts - ESPECIALLY the JDB - would be to send them a DV letter...chances are they won't validate the debt - by law, if they can't validate, then they can't collect...this includes reporting to the CRA's.
So, DV them...if you don't hear from them within 30 days or so, dispute them with the CRA - include copy of the DV letter and green card from CMRRR. The CRA should (I say should :? ) drop it from your report.
If the CA don't respond and the CRA's don't remove, then you can sue them under FDCRA violations. That will get their attention.
